Our planet is in peril and as the world’s leading independent conservation organisation, we are on a mission to make our voice the loudest and most respected in helping to save the planet and provide a future where people and nature thrive.
We now have an incredible opportunity for a senior level professional, with experience of working with senior volunteers, major donors and fundraising, to help develop a strategy and manage a programme to maximise the mission value of our Council of Ambassadors and Fellows.
As Head of Ambassadors and Fellows, you build on a successful programme involving a wide range of influential individuals drawn from a variety of backgrounds and sectors. Your remit will be to create a strategy to align the Council fully with our new ambitious strategy to restore nature. This will include implementing a comprehensive and inspiring support programme involving inductions, regular updates, briefings and events. You will collaborate with colleagues to ensure the programme is aligned with organisational strategy and to maximise the Council’s value by fully and thoughtfully utilising their networks, voice and influence for our cause. Important will be the ability to nurture and inspire existing and new influential volunteers to be passionate advocates for our mission and work.
To succeed, you must have worked with senior volunteers and major donors and gained significant experience of managing and working with influential thought and business leaders, academics and philanthropists. You will have the ability to work collaboratively, build strong internal relationships and maintain a clear sense of organisational need. With excellent judgement, you will be comfortable working at pace and under pressure as well as leading people. You will possess first class interpersonal skills, with high levels of gravitas, resilience and emotional intelligence. You will be the sort of person who can build rapport and respect from a wide range of talented people. You will also be able to demonstrate a commitment to the natural world and our core mission too.
If you are committed to the natural world and possess the skills to build a network of high-quality influencers, please visit our website via the link and submit a copy of your up to date CV and the Supporting Statement to highlight what makes you a good fit for us.
