As the world’s largest independent conservation organisation, we are working to achieve the triple challenge of restoring nature, tackling dangerous climate change and supporting sustainable development. To succeed, it is important that we have effective plans and processes in place. This is where your skills are needed as the Programme Manager for our strategic goal to protect and restore Thriving Habits & Species.
This Programme Manager role sits in our Strategic Planning and Performance Unit which works with colleagues across the organisation to drive delivery of the five strategic goals that constitute our strategy.
As Programme Manager, you will collaborate with colleagues to create the annual plan for the Thriving Habitats & Species Goal, monitoring progress against it and working with grant managers to ensure projects meet objectives and achieve deliverables. You will ensure that effective risk and issue management is in place. We will look to you to ensure processes and governance are fit for purpose. You will oversee the budget for the Goal, lead on reporting and share best practice. You will also support capacity building and assist grant managers to deliver projects effectively.
To join the team bringing our world back to life, you will be an experienced project manager, ideally with a recognised qualification, such as PRINCE2. You will have an in-depth understanding of project and programme management methodologies and be able to demonstrate the ability to plan, manage and deliver complex projects. Comfortable managing a programme team, you will possess excellent interpersonal skills and be a confident communicator who is effective at managing stakeholders and enjoys supporting colleagues. Good at prioritising, you will be comfortable multi-tasking and meeting deadlines. You will also have lean and change management experience.
